Ian has joined Evolution Partners as a Summer 2020 Analyst.
He is a current MBA candidate at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Before his MBA, he spent 5 years at the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. Government agency responsible for publishing employment and inflation statistics. He then made the change to Asia where he consulted on projects for large MNCs, including Volkswagen China, before moving to an early-stage VC and cross-border investment firm focused on funding disruptive FinTech innovations in the fields of blockchain and digital assets.
His main focus this summer will be on the broad field of FinTech, specifically helping our client-base understand the implications that Virtual Banks and Insurers have for their legacy businesses. When he’s not online, you’ll find this California native at one of Hong Kong’s beaches, basketball courts, or crypto meetups – snorkeling, perfecting his (admittedly poor) 3-point shot, or showing off his newest CryptoKitty!
